Giants Ridge in beautiful Bywabik Minnesota. This and Duluth are the prettiest hills that we race at. Giants Ridge slightly beats out Duluth just because of its remote location. I got up there early Friday and parked at the entrance of the pits, that way our loud sleds would not bother anyone. I brought the F10 for George to use as he would be photographing us.

This hill is probably the hardest one on sleds out of all of them. The hill is long and very steep at the top which makes having a bigger sled a plus. Here and Duluth the smaller stockers can not keep up with the modified or higher horse power sleds, no matter how good a driver you are. This is also one of two hills that Wally warns us not to run too lean at. Not only does running too lean wreck your motor, it is also dangerous to you and the guys behind you when your motor blows especially if your in the air, it will nose right over.

This is the hill where Warren lost his goal of going to bed early, matter of fact this place has something that keeps him going all night long. A few years back he went to Dawn, I mean dawn.

This would also be a double points weekend. I finished my finals in second place for both Saturday and Sunday. Warren came in 10th and 11th (600/700Improved Class) on Saturday and 11th and 12th on Sunday.
