Well there was a fire at Cable and we were not able to race last week, so Park X was a dreadful double points weekend, boy those suck. When you stick two weekends into one it is hard on everyone, not just the racers. Long days, long nights make these weekends extremely long.
This is the first year WSA added a Vets Class (50 plus) to its race venue, this will be good for Eric. This is also the first year Warren will run all his races as a semi pro. Park X, Hill City, Quanda, or whatever you want to call it is one of our favorite hills.
Got up to the hill early Friday and that was the first time we had Warren's new sled in the pits. Right off the bat we started getting complaints that a mod race sled was too loud! I guess no one was at Duluth SnoCross when Tucker and the boys raced their mods. Oh well we will discuss this later. The course was set up with a wicked turn at the starting line, not good if you don't have carbides to turn. Last year we were told to run non carbide host bars, Burger Racing complied, a lot of teams didn't. Get my drift here? Try turning a mod in a tight turn with no carbide, what a joke. Oh well, never again is all I can say.
It was good to see a lot of old friends and meet new ones. Warren set up a personal goal this year, not staying out all night. We will see how long this goal lasts. Both Saturday and Sunday were sunny and not too cold. In Saturday's final Eric ended up second to Dale Davidson's win, Terry Wagoner was third followed by Doug Green. Warren would take a sixth place finish in both his 600 and 700 improved classes. Warren races against Nate Davidson, that is Dale's son who I race against. It is fun to see father and sons racing in the same circuit. Darin Aggard used Warrens sled in HillDrags and won the Semi Pro 600 with it. Lucky for Timmy Daniels he didn't race the Pro Class, lol, good job Tim on your win.
This is a photo Warren last year from Park X as we have not yet purchased this years photo's from Park X.
