Update: George will not be racing this year due bad break in his wrist that resulted in surgery and a cast. Warren has now got his Cat Master Certification from Arctic Cat.
Thanks for visiting the Burger Racing Team web site. The 2008 season is over and what a fun year it was. Now we prepare for the 2009 season. New year, new sled. Well so much for those who say there is global warming, we had more snow and cold then ever last year and looks the same for this year.
Burger Racing was the idea of George Burger who got his brother and father to join up and help with the team. Eventually all three started racing and we never looked back. We participate in WSA HillCross and WSA HillDrags in the Midwest Region. Also we tried a little grass dragging at Hay Days.
Burger Racing is made up of George, Warren, and Eric Burger. When these three get together sparks fly. If you watch OCC, this is definitely the web version, but instead of bikes, it is with snowmobiles and racing.
George had a busy fulltime schedule working in city zoning and law enforcement and didn't get a weekend off to race last season. George was to race Duluth and because of the blizzard never made it down. What a bummer since this whole racing thing was his vision. Warren and I carried on the tradition and we made it through the entire year. Warren ran his first Semi Pro race in Duluth and did great, he won two 3rd place qualifers, excellant job son. I thought the age thing was starting to catch up with me. I felt better in 2008 then I ever have so I will race one more year. Hey Wally, thanks for the "Over 50 Class". We also introduced a new rookie to the team last year, Jon Lindholm. Jon ran beginners in Cable and two sport classes at Giants Ridge and Duluth. Good job Jon, took a first and second in his qualifiers in Duluth and made it into the finals.
Burger Racing wants to thank our 2009 sponsors, they are; Klotz Synthetic Lubricants, HMK, SpeedWerx, Digital Ink Design, WB Performance Grafix's, and of course George Burger Photography. Thanks guys, sponsors are a big part of racing and we really appreciate your support and enthusiasm for the sport.
